brown rice for breakfast

So i was reading OK! magazine a while ago and one of my fave articles to read is "Ask Bethenny" where they interview Bethenny of the Real Housewives of New York. She always has some healthy tips. One of the recent ones: brown rice for a meal in the morning. Good alternative to oatmeal or a sugary breakfast cereal- no matter how good.

Brown rice will keep you fuller, longer. No crash and burn hungry feeling late morning at work.

And it doesn't have to taste bland. Add syrup or fruit or brown sugar to make it taste like you're eating breakfast.

Can't wait to try it! You guys with me?

Healthier yogurt

Ok first real blog. And first great eating healthy idea.

I was watching the Tyra show when they were talking to overweight teens.
A great alternative to the fatty, wonderful yogurt we all enjoy is this new Organic Greek Yogurt- Fage.
Fage Zero is totally guilt-free, fat free, with virtually no sugar! I can't wait to try it.

And you should know that I stay broke so I need healthy solutions for very little money.
Search for this at an organic foods store and it will run you a lot of money (like most organic foods do). HOWEVER, you should love me, because I found out that they sell this Fage yogurt at Kmart for only $5.49 for 17.6 ounces- which is a lot!!

Just add real fruit for a cheap but healthy (and tasty) idea.

Enjoy guys and girls! I can't wait to try this myself. Probably really yummy with some pineapples or strawberries mixed in. Try it and send me your comments. I'd love to hear how you eat it.

So... How ARE you feeling?

I wanted to create this blog because I'm broke and in the mood for some feel-good stuff that is healthy and cheap.
I'm all about doing what makes you feel good. Eating healthy stuff, drinking tea, wearing make-up or the newest fashions. But I'm also broke. So let's do it for people on a budget ok?

So hope you all start reading. Because I have a lot to share :)
